17 year old female with life long digestive distress. Dairy invokes cramping, nausea, diarrhea. Joint pain in knees and back which increases the week before and of menstruation. Very heavy and painful periods (28/5). Had to double up pads prior to starting BCP . Currently on Junel and takes three 21 day packs and then one week off which has decreased pain and heaviness. Mom was diagnosed with endometriosis in past. Patient also suffers from severe anxiety and OCD, racing thoughts (fear of germs, dying) which is a major concern.

What type of testing would you recommend? Patient came in seeking food sensitivity testing and hormone testing. I explained that a DUTCH test would only be accurate if she were to go off the pill for three months to regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary communication. I originally thought that I would start with the KBMO to test for food sensitivities, gut barrier panel, candida and LPS but now I am thinking that an OAT would give us more valuable info?
